Last
year, after a nationwide search with 200 candidates, she was
one of 4 finalists to coach the participants on the nationally
syndicated NBC daytime series "Starting Over."
Cynthia
has been the Life Coach on Discovery Health's "Star for
a Day," and
for the pilot of "Life's Too Short" on Discovery.
Cynthia is a Certified
Professional Co-Active Coach, and one of the first to receive
the designation of Master Certified Coach from the International
Coach Federation.
Based in Los Angeles, Darst maintains a full roster of private
clients including corporate execs, entrepreneurs, creative types
(actors, writers, and entertainment industry), people in transition,
as well as other coaches. She and her husband, David Darst, CPCC,
PCC, also a fabulous coach, are partners in their company, the
Inspiration Point (www.theinspirationpoint.com). They do work
with individuals as well as teams, couples, and partnerships.
As
a Senior Course Leader for CTI—The
COACHES Training Institute, she delights in traveling the US, Canada, and the
world, training others in the skills of Co-Active Coaching. As well as being
a Supervisor and Examiner for those in the year-long preparation for the final
certification exam, she is part of ‘Core
Legacy’ at CTI where she actively trains and develops CTI’s
new and current Leaders.
Passionate
about quality and excellence in the world of coaching, she
was a founding member of the Professional & Personal Coaches
Association and served on the Board of Directors as: Ethics & Standards
Chair ’95-’96, Member-at-Large ’96,
and ’97 PPCA Conference Program Chair. As 1998 International Coach Federation
Conference Chair, she was instrumental in bringing the ICF and PPCA together.
Darst has also served on the Board of Directors of the Professional Coaches and
Mentors Association.
