Co-Active Coaching is a trademark of the Coaches Training Institute: www.thecoaches.com. The following Four Cornerstones of Co-Activity are rather radical when you think about them. And they are the foundation of the work we do:

1) The Client Is Creative, Resourceful and Whole: Don't you hate it when someone tries to “fix” you? Ick, I want to bite people that tell me what I "should do"! Sometimes people think that a coach is going to fix you, give you advice, and tell you what to do. Some coaches do, but not a Co-Active one. I believe that you are more of a master in your own life than I will ever be; no one knows your life the way you do.

2) The Agenda Comes From the Client: We focus on what YOU want to focus on, not what we think you should be doing next.

3) We Work With the Client's Whole Life: Doesn't your health impact your work and the fun in your life? If you have money trouble that will probably impact your relationships. Of course. It all works together. When we work with a client we take everything into consideration rather than only focusing on one part of life.

4) We "Dance in the Moment," maintaining lightness, fun, and flexibility in the way we work, rather than having to adhere to a pre-formulated plan.

Another essential piece of Co-Active work is that the coaching partnership is a "Designed Alliance"; that's right, your coach consciously "designs" and talks through the way that you are going to work together so that you are on the same page from the beginning.
